So, we were stuck in another super 6 hours long chem-lab yesterday, when we needed to do a flash-chomatography. I went to pick up some sort of powered silicone gel-like thing when my demo told me not to breathe it. Of course... I'm paranoid by nature, so I fill up the experiment under the big vent. Wow, that thing flew everywhere... and I'm pretty sure I managed to snif it a few times...

So I asked the guy what it does and he told me: "Oh, it replaces oxygen in your blood and you suffocate."

What part of I'm a paranoid bio-chemist do you not understand? Now I have my two lab partners mocking me every five seconds: "Oh... it just replaces the oxygen in your blood. No biggie."

Not to mention that stuff looks and feels like flower. Have you ever tried cleaning that stuff out of a tube while it's still moist? That was why the lab was so long... It took at least 45 minutes to clean the tube up. XD.

But at least we have good results. Pretty amazing since we kept messing up the experiment yesterday. I swear, I've never seen a demo on damage control like that.
