Hoarse Necks
"How hard can it be to translate katakana? They're supposed to be foreign words in the first place."
That's unless it takes you am hour to figure out what the foreign word IS... which is especially embarrassing when your first language is in said foreign word.
Okay, so I move on to another place, and it becomes clear that the second place is called "vinaigre" or vinegar in English.
Cue me trying every pronounciation just to figure it out until finally...

... huh? That doesn't sound right... Who says 'hoarse neck' anyway? Hoarse throat or stiff neck, sure, but 'hoarse neck'?
But in any case, not sure I would like to live in a place called "Hoarse Neck Village"
